Just ordered a new oven. It is $300 more than when I priced it 2 years ago. Sometime procrastination pays off. Not this time.

I played Clark Griswold. Additionally planted a tree fern as a memorial for my basset hound.

I bought a large humidifier for the house. It is an evaporative one. Holds six gallons. When I put it together I thought, "this is just a glorified bucket, a paper sponge, and a fan.". Well, this glorified bucket works GREAT! The thing puts over 2 gallons of moisture in the air every 24 hours. The humidity in the house is riding about 48% now. Much better.

My question; have any of you used any of the humidifier anti-bacterial/water treatment liquids or floats?

My mom had a humidifier in New Mexico. Oh! And I just remembered all the swamp coolers! Nobody bothers with antimicrobial anything there. Same thing.

Snake oil. Keep it clean-ish and enjoy.

Got another tree work quote. 3k less than the first.

Trim 4 trees, remove 5 trees, remove 10 stumps. Remove all debris.

A couple years ago, I had to take out a plum tree in my front yard. It was half dead, and falling. I was hoping to put a new tree in after I have the stump ground. I just had the 811 guys out to mark my gas line. CRAP! Good thing I took the tree out when I did. If it had fallen, it probably would have pulled the gas line up with it.

Looks like just a shallow grinding and grass. Bummer, I really wanted another tree there.

It was so cool, and impressive. The tree guys had a skid steer with a stump grinder attachment. On the bigger stumps, he ground a few roots around the stump, then put the fork lift attachment on the bobcat, rammed the forks in the ground under the stump a few times, then lifted the entire thing out of the ground. The biggest one was about 8 feet in diameter. Those bobcats have some power. Wish I had pictures.

I wish somewhere in your description there was a bit about these stumps popping out like a cartoon carrot being pulled.
