You know, if you time the boss' attacks well. You just gotta make sure you have enough room around you so that you dont get by the explosion radius. Stand still, shoot boss. When he fires at you or just right before he shoots...double jump! Viola! You dodged his cannon smoothly. I didnt go into his pit, that is a death sentence. |

That stupid tank was so infuriating. I guess i didn't have the patience to make that work, ended up having to just do the level 26 strike instead of level 28.
26 was almost too easy, I'm sure if i was 28 instead of 27 i could have done it.

Anxious to see what the nine vendor has tomorrow.
I want a scout rifle! But I got another hard light from the weekly nightfall, so I don't need another exotic primary. And hopefully a good hunter armor item. My alt needs an exotic armor piece

I would like a decent hunter armor piece as well. So far all the armor pieces they've been offering the hunter class doesn't suit my character's build. I need something allowing me to carry more auto rifle or scout rifle ammo. No preference just not pulse rifle.

No. Never got through the front door. We were probably there for 20 minutes. We couldn't get our shit together to hold the three control points. Eventually we sort of found a rhythm and started doing kinda OK, but one person kept dying too frequently (like every wave) and decided to ragequit, which doomed us. One guy was barking orders, and while he was correct, he was not doing a good job of explaining what exactly to do and what to look for, and why. I joined right when the raid launched, so maybe it was covered, but it really didn't seem like a solid plan was arranged up front because it looked like some people had no idea was going on and kept running around too much.
There was a big problem with background noise, someone's game was echoing through their mic, and another person was playing in the family room maybe with a headset or something, but EVERYTHING was coming over his mic- he was talking to people in the house, to us, we could hear kids arguing, a TV, etc. I think his mic level was just adjusted too low so it was picking up everything. I'm sure these things aren't normally a problem with 3 people casually doing a strike, but with 6 people it was messy. This is kind of a build on tahdizzle's advice earlier... If you want to see some EXTREMELY impressive tactical commanders in action, look up some epic fleet battles from EVE Online. Sometimes it's small fleets of a few dozen players, but sometimes it's thousands. The FCs (Fleet Commanders) in some of these battles are incredible in their ability to manage their forces as one organic body and manipulate the battlefield, especially when outnumbered and outgunned. Boring to watch, but impressive, nonetheless. Quick callsigns are essential (like for me wheels, wheezy or haus, but keep it consistent through the entire session. For instance, one guy was named "getoffmyass123" or something, that's a mouthful. Maybe call him getsy, or ghetto, something unique, whereas "getoff" could be confused with an order. khouan could be K, or K-ho. Identify the tactical commander. This is the person who can speak clearly, understands what needs to happen, and can see the battlefield from 10,000ft. He's capable of not only holding his own, but also processing what everyone else is doing. Each of the individual players needs to focus specifically on their task at hand, adapt as necessary, and speak up if something isn't going correctly. Identify who should team up in pairs based on strengths and vulnerabilities, and call them team A, B, and C. Everyone knows in advance what team they're on and be able to adapt without talking much. Identify when two teams are needed, call them X and Y. Lets say I'm assigned teams A and Y, so when the commander says "team A hold control A" I know exactly what to do. When I hear "team Y flank quick left" or "team A flank far left" I know exactly what to do. If you just say "we need another person at spot A" or "more people go left" then of course three people are going to try to hero up, but as a result they abandon another position. On the other hand, if I need to communicate to my subteam, I can start with "team A use solar" or "team A watch left cave". There's a bunch of different ways to execute tactics, but if everyone is on the same page it goes a LOOONG way toward success, especially against relatively predictable AI. |

^ That being said, it was still fun until people started dropping out. Once we realized we weren't cutting it, it was a bummer, but I really want to try again.

@wheelhaus
Just need someone to help you out. Wasn't there but here are some tips: 1. You don't need to stay on the platform. Once the white is up, you can leave. 2. Lil guys do not matter. If they enter the platform its okay. If you see a Pretorian, your battle buddy and you should focus fire him down and then move on to clearing trash. The pretorians are the only ones that can turn the white red, and halt your progress.
