Robispec TIME ATTACK Build
GAME ON
Robispec TIME ATTACK Build For those who don't know who or what Robispec is, we are a chassis shop that takes pride in making cars handle better than stock, have consistant handling charactristics, and allow the cars driver to have more feedback before things get outta control. For this build we will be using these criteria. Does the modification/deletion make our FRS:

SO here are some NEW picts and info on our SUPER HEAVY DUTY COOLING UPGRADE READY TO SHIP TODAY
At Robispec we are fans of extra credit work and so we went to an "overkill cooling solution" stock radiator is 15mm core we replace this with 2 22mm tube core add a liquid to liquid oil cooler in the "cold side tank" and have less than 2.5 feet of total lines to complete the whole "kit". The best thing about this is that you dont need to thermostaticly control the oil temp (a big potential problem with the Air to liquid cooler solutions) as the water thermostat does this for you and actually heats the oil faster during warm up then stabilizes it to run about 20-30 degrees hotter than the water temp. this is better in many ways than the current kits on the market. 1. lighter overall 2. short hose runs, minimal resistance to flow = no extra strain on the stock oil pump 3. "fixes" the Water cooling issues sure to develop with the stock radiator. 4. Uses existing cooling airflow and leaves fender locations for brake ducting 5. Uses all factory connections/hoses fits with bumper beam and all plastic parts 6. Works with VORTECH and almost all aftermarket intakes and the Stock air box (PM for fitment details) Picts in the car here are the cores for comparison. BIG PROBLEM and no oil cooler included with the car either. Even the A/C condensed is thicker than the Stock radiator!(3/4" vs 5/8 ") here is the BEST solution...to the above problem system out of the car NO cutting plastec to mount Cold air or turbo/FMIC piping over the top as needed STOCK mounting points used OVER TRIPLE THE COOLING CAPACITY and an extra Qt of engine oil. takes 2 hours to install Install is the same as Stock radiator install with the addition of the oil cooler fittings. total system cost Radiator oilcooler takeoff plates hoses, an fittings, fans EVERYTHING INCLUDED for John Q Public to install $985.00 Robi Last edited by robispec; 06-20-2013 at 01:15 AM. |

Looks fast (as opposed to great ).
Have you taped over just the blanked out portion of the grill in front of the radiator, or extended down to reduce air flow slightly? That red tape looks to go down a long way. Also, any before and after fluting under bonnet temps? Subscribed |

How did you get those vents in the bonnet? It looks a little neater than what could be obtained just using tin snips.
