partial carbon fiber vinyl wrap on OEM spoiler?

So I went to our Autoshow in Portland yesterday, and got some ideas with vinyl wrapping the OEM spoilers with carbon fiber, but just the "middle" part.

Has anyone done this or something similar? Only thing I've seen here was someone painting the whole spoiler matte black, or the STI gurney flap that sits on top of the spoiler for a contrast look.

Here is a really really shitty picture of what I am thinking. If someone can photo shop one that 'll be awesome!!

BTW my BRZ is SWP, and contrasting a lot of black/matte black. All of the lip kits will be black as well.

I wrapped mine like that with carbon fiber vinyl when I first got the car. I didn't care for it that much so I took it off a couple days later. Here are couple pics of what it looks like. Sorry they are crappy cell phone pics.

That would look hot with a black roof/trunk

I actually ended up doing the hood, roof and top of the trunk lid in matte black.

Looks great! I like how the lines turned out on your fascia. The BRZ XT Line Concept had the center blade of the stock spoiler and roof wrapped in CF:

I like the line you took on the hood. First one I've seen where I liked it. Since they "cheated" on the production hood line not following the headlights I've not liked any of the replacement hoods or hood only wraps.

Had I been doing it on mine I would have followed the line from the hood (basically doing the entire hood) extending down the top of the lights and then cut over exactly like you did, but I'm liking this too.

Great work.

Thanks for the pics guys, good find!! I think the CF or Gloss looks good, today I did a DIY plasti dip on the fender garnish that came out.. Ok, for a first time custom job.

What kind of CF vinyl did you use for your car @Area86? Brand/link?

Did you also paint the black plastic part or only the fender trim?

Thanks.
