Last trip I took was at the start of my plan, 260 miles left google maps on, used .6gb of data linked to GMAPS over that round trip in one day.

If you guys are complaining about the factory nav being hard to use, you have no idea. Get in any new GM vehicle and use the factory NAV, you will hate your life in about 35 seconds(No auto complete, have to type in full state name, exactly street name, ect).

Well as long as they stop doing that stupid mic on the roof, then going aftermarket Sat Nav would look clean.

The factory Sat Nav gets the job done so no complaints. Just wish the Fujitsu-Ten headunit itself and the GUI look a little better (although the interface already looks miles ahead of the OEM Blaupunkt MFD2 I had on the VW).

I've used it once since I've owned the car. And that was because I bought the car from out of state. I always give local people the look of disapproval when using their gps. Come on, if you get lost trying to go to a McDonald's or some place locally, there's something wrong with you.

I pulled the trigger on a 2016 BRZ (auto). My local dealership was more than willing to order one even though they still had a 2015 on the lot. The 2016 has no nav, but comes with Subaru's starlink system. Decent tradeoff imo considering how slow the 2015 nav is.

Interesting...The 2016 and 2017's that I have driven had Nav.

2015 BRZ uses Starlink..Here is the Starlink navigation.

It's a little confusing but STARLINK refers to too many things in regards to Subaru's multimedia head unit.

To make things simple, not all STARLINK units are created equal.

The BRZ is coming standard with the 6.2 inch STARLINK unit, which is actually a downgraded unit from the top-of-the-line units. The hardware is different, but the software is similar to that of a base WRX Limited, which has Sirius XM enabled.

To get navigation on a WRX Limited, one must upgrade to the 7 inch STARLINK Multimedia head unit. There's no way to get it on a 6.2 inch unit.

The point is, the 2016 will not be offered with navigation, until further notice.

Here are the two audio units, both on a 2016 STI. One has Nav, one does not. One is the 7 inch screen, the other is the 6.2 inch screen

Yes, it would be odd if Subaru suddenly offered it out of the blue but it's not impossible especially since it's a 900 upgrade on the FR-S
