Hyper Blue fender garnish on a Series Blue BRZ - with Pictures

I never liked the look of the chrome fender garnishes available from Subaru so when I saw the ones available on the Hyper Blue edition I figured it would look good. Nice touch of black to accent the side skirts. I ordered it from: http://subaruonlineparts.com/subaru-...ck-p-4113.html

It came really quickly, I bet a local Subaru dealership would be able to special order it.

Agreed, alas the weather isn't cooperating and still have the winter tires on. Might post another picture once the summers make their way back on.

This is going to be my next mod. I have been set on ordering this part from the exact same website. How sis you take the old blades off and with what? Also, how hard/easy is it to place the new blade where the old one was?

my dealership didn't put the chrome one on (thankfully) so it just came like what is in the 4th picture. If you take a heat gun to it with some fishing line, it should come off just like debadging a car. It's just stuck on with 3M tape so it could get taken off pretty easily.

It looks like you have a dark car, not sure how visible these would be. You could try taking the chrome ones off first to see if you like what is already there.

Well considering that I am going for the "blacked out" look, yes I definitely want them black. They would match perfectly with the tinted windows and the black rims I am getting. If you look at my car from the side all that is chrome is the rims and that fender blade.

Sooooo, how easy was putting on the Hyperblue ones? any trouble with the alignment or the tape?

It was dead simple, only cleaned the fender with a clean cloth and verrrrryyy slowly stuck them on. They actually slot into the recesses that are there which I wasn't expecting so it made it pretty straightforward.

So what year BRZ do you have? For some reason it doesn't show up for 2015

the black trim is only on the hyperblue by default, so 2016.

But they didn't change much having to do with that part from the previous year. It would probably fit with no issue.
