It doesn't take much play at all to get a clunk, I just did some stock links on another car, and though they were a little more free than new ones you couldn't actually feel the play. If you have 3 piece end links made with standard rod ends you can replace just the ends.

I've snapped three sets of Whiteline over the years. Two of them because the adjustable part melted/seized and the bolt gave out before the nut did. They're not my favorite endlinks but having tried several other static length ones I keep coming back to them because they're easy to buy and adjust to the appropriate length for lowered cars.

What are your opinions on front sway bars. I see a couple of people running 19-20mm bars on stiff and some running 22mm+ on soft. I'm currently running a 19mm on soft, but I'm going to move it to stiff when I install the KW V3s I just got. Is it worth it to swap my 19mm for a 22mm? I'm a total setup newb and am mainly following community consensus on things while I'm learning what feels better on course with the adjustments I have available.

Bars are easy to swap on this car, I say keep what you've got so you're not chasing your tail and you can tweak things one by one.

That being said, based on what holes I'm using on the Karcepts bar I'm not sure I'd be happy with either bar lol, I land in between adjustments on the 22mm, slightly too stiff for the 20mm.

I run DS, but have driven a handful of STX setup cars. I was just talking to a buddy yesterday on the 19 vs 22mm question actually.

Apparently for setup, he used a 22mm on soft (130%). Another guy with a well setup car that people seem to love runs a 19mm Perrin (likely on stiff, 73%). We've had a few high level drivers run the car and they all loved it.

A lot can boil down to spring rates, dampening, and also driving style. The general rule is you dial the car in mostly via the springs/dampers first and then adjust swaybars last. Ideally, you wouldn't need a swaybar at all.

I guess my point is with a proper coilover setup, you'd be running a 19mm Perrin and adjusting between 25% (soft) and 73% (stiff). Whiteline's 20mm on soft if close to the 19mm Perrin on stiff. Much more above 120% and I'd say you're better off adjusting whatever problem you're having via the dampers/spring rates or driving style.

With that said, I'm choosing the 19mm Perrin on stiff for DS this year and keeping it later when I go to STX and probably go with Tarmac 2's for the suspension.

Anyone else have issues ordering A052?

Discount Tire Direct isn't able to get any 245 or 255 in 17s. Sucks cause they were $70 off this weekend from Yokohama and then 10% additional from the discount tire card.

I did the South Texas ProSolo down in Beeville TX last weekend. It was a ton of fun and very challenging. The right side course was half concrete and half asphalt. So had to find a fine balance with the suspension setup for the right side that would still work on the all concrete left side. I really should have been able to knock even more time off on Sunday morning but just couldn’t put it all together.

Good news is I managed to get 1st in STX and won my first ever Super Challenge as well! Wow that was so nerve racking lol. At least STX beat SSC for the Super Challenge win lol

I didn't know anybody in STX really ran less than a 22mm bar (or the Karcepts bar).

That has been my experience as well. Though I'm not a national competitor.

I run the 1" hollow bar from Hotchkiss (similar to a 22mm solid) and I've never felt I had too much bar in the front.

I ran into same issue, made an order when site said in stock, they called and said backordered with no ETA.

Same with 660's and R1S.

Called TR and they shipped me a set of A052's next day (for about $200 more than DTD )

I wonder if with the merger if they are going make some of these tires only available from TR vs DTD. I asked and they said they can't pull from Tire Rack inventory. But, yup. $200 more from TR and they won't price match.

Interesting, I just looked at Discount Tire, Discount Tire Direct, and Tire Rack for A052s, and they were all the same price, within one dollar per tire at $258
