Questions and Discussion on Vortech Supercharging Systems

49lbs give or take

Note that the washer bottle holds less fluid than stock. On the other hand adding a catch can, oil cooler and radiator gets you close to your guesstimate.

Somehow the mention did not work. Anyway, I've decided to pull the trigger and get the moto-east flex fuel kit. Next will be some injector dynamics 850cc and an aeromotive fuel pump.
The question is, since I already have full exhaust mods, will the chosen hardware be good enough when I upgrade to a 3.125 pulley and run on E85?
Any replies or comments would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm currently on fic 550 and a dw65c(fuel pump was thrown into the deal but the new aem E85 looks much more promising).

You should be fine with the 850's

I have been considering upgrading my pump and injectors for e85. Is anybody using open source for tuning? Just curious if any issues have come up.

@marcoaferrer Thanks! Good to hear!

One last question, regarding the 3.125 pulley, what belt size do I need? I heard I could still use the one for the stock pulley.

Here with the 550 injectors and DW65 pump, I think (test soon) that it will work just fine with the 2.8 pulley, but no E85 at the pump were I'm... Use Sunoco 100 (that one is at the pump) could you believe that shit?!
The 850 seems a bit large for the 3.125 pulley, but you will find soon enough that you really desire more whp. "2.8 pulley".

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Headroom for more boost just in case. What's the real verdict on the 2.8 pulley? Will it over spin the blower or not? I've seen some people have been using it, but no reports of bad results. I track my car often, so if it would overspin it with the 2.8, then I wouldn't risk it. That's why I'm looking hard at the 3.125. I also saw the numbers @nelsmar was making with the 3.125 and e85, and I think it was impressive. I would be very happy with those numbers or close to it.

It will over spin for <200 RPMs and that's at red line, so very short time. The thing is that it will spinning faster at all RPMs and produce more heat... So custom supercharger oil cooler instead on plug to inferior, contaminated maybe overheated engine oil. Will take some pics after removal the bumper again.

Completely out of place! If track or drive at least moderate with AT will need additional oil cooler.

Are there any concerns with the dealership running a diagnostic on a Vortech equipped car? Will they screw up the programming or anything?

I currently have nelsmars 3.125 pulley on 91 and I must say it's a very big difference between that one and the 9psi that comes w the kit. I had him also tune mine and all I have to say is , fuuuuuuuuck.

Thanks bro. I decided to go with the 3.125 pulley. Less boost, safer operating parameter for the Blower. I will be installing the pulley tom. Will update you guys with the numbers.

WTB stock pulley for a V3 kit I picked up.

Also does anyone know what the stock map sensor included in the kit is? I read its 2.5bar but I'd like to know more specifically the brand etc.

Thanks
