Shops for Spark Plug Maintenance
Anyone know of any reputable shops and ball park pricing for the 60k spark plug maintenance?
I also need the cylinder 1 coil pack replaced. Started throwing codes. |

I am a big fan of SRD in Tempe. I use them for anything too big or too complicated for me to handle. Great work quality and they try very hard to come in at or under what they quoted you for the job.
When I get to 60k I will probably shop them vs. the dealer. |

Just updating the thread with info I got.
Messaged SRD in Tempe and they quoted $323 for labor. Not including price of plugs & gasket since the exhaust manifold must be removed. $323 Labor $40 Gasket $90 Plugs $453 Total and in my case I need 1 coil pack so another $90 |

@Wyattkb
You can do the spark plugs yourself and save LOADS of money, but that's really up to you. You do not have to jack the motor up btw, average is about 45- 1hr 30min without jacking the motor up.(This is why they are trying to charge you for the exhaust gaskets) Also you can get cheaper and better exhaust gaskets online vs what they are charging you for, have them use those instead if you wanna still go with them and save money. Also that labor charge seems really high. It is a 2.2hr job doing it by the book technically, not that anyone does that. So that's $146.81 hr?!? just for changing the plugs? (the pack can be done at the same time and shouldn't be charged extra for this on the labor side since its coming off anyway) something seems fishy. One write up is below from here on the forum btw. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=88906
