Picked mine up 4 days ago. Been getting a lot of beeps and thumbs up from other FRS owners. Great community of owners. Nice to be a part of it.

Sorry for the bad English language skill of mine, but fortunately Google translator is a crutch. |

Just signed for my FR-S yesterday. Should have it in a week or two once I finish returning my R32 back to stock to trade it in.
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qt83sxBQA18&"]MVI 2232 - YouTube[/ame] [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YiNIi5GTPfQ"]Mike's spark cut - YouTube[/ame] Lesson learned, don't sell stock parts on expensive items. N/A built R32 - cams, headers, full exhaust, BBK, suspension and a bunch of OEM goodies. Spark cut tune which led to fireballs and blasts on WOT shifts at high RPM. I grew bored though which led me to purchasing an FR-S. Doubtful the mod bug will bite me that hard this time around though. Only have wheels, suspension and some sticky rubber in mind for now lol. Although I know how to drive a manual, this will be my first true MT car. See you guys around. |

Found out my Dad is getting a BRZ as a surprise for his birthday next March. He came to visit in June, said he had driven one and made me stop to look at a used FRS at a Honda dealership so he's really hooked. I've had an S30 of some form for the last 27 years and I finally got the one I wanted in 2000. My Dad enjoys driving it hard so I know he'll like the BRZ, now I'm just wondering if I can talk him into some mods, CAI etc. I figured this was as good a place as any to find out about mods, recalls, the good and the bad before his shows up.

Glad I found this forum, there's so much info, it's awesome!!

I have been building a 2004 celica GTS the last two years but finally decided to get me the FRS when a dealer I am good friends with offered me it 2k under MSRP with 4 miles on the Odometer, with the lip wing, trunk mat and stock touch screen. Here is my finished celica that I will be selling soon. and my FRS: |

Damn, the FRS makes the RX7 look small.

Hello all!
New 24yo member here from the SF Bay Area. Planing to purchase one of the twins soon: either a 10 series FRS or BRZ Limited! My history: Well, my history is not impressive. It will be my first manual car and it will be the first car I am purchasing with my own money . Currently I drive a 01 Camry 4cyl Auto. Sounds quite lackluster but I do have fun in it lol...I take it up/race up/down hilly roads close by and drive "passionately" on the streets :P. Can't say from direct experience but I have always liked the idea of light cars with smaller engines. I also like when the stock engines are NA and handling is more stressed that straight line performance. Making...the FRS/BRZ an obvious choice for me . I have considered all other cars I could think of as alternative: 370z, WRX STI, Evo X, Mustang GT....but all of them were too costly, more maintenance, more gas, and arguably less fun. I think 200 hp is ample power ( however I do plan to mod in couple years once I fully can understand/control the dynamics of the stock car) especially when I am not racing and for everyday driving...a race car is less pragmatic. Anyway, beware! I am heading toward the forum board with some possibly novice/juvenile questions! |
