I was wondering if you guys have any tip to keep the rubber ish or leather ish dash board from cracking. My gf car with a similar material cracked pretty badly.

Thank you. You guys are awesome!

I know cars with black and cheap interiors are likely to crack,

honestly only thing i can think of would be to get a sunblock/cover for the windshield and/or park it in the shade

something like this? http://www.dinodirect.com/car-window...Fe9aMgodCCoAGQ

Get a UV-blocking tint (3M Crystalline, Color Stable, etc).

I use aerospace 303. Heard nothing but good things about it and so far I LOVE the product. Used it on both my cars

I had Suntek UV/IR blocking film put on the windscreen, use Aerospace 303 on the dash, and I have a sunshade I put up there.

Overkill maybe?

Use leather conditioners or armour all. Or take to dealer when it cracks. This isnt 1955. It may crack in 20years. You should be gtg

My 05 STI has no cracks whatsoever and I almost never use any leather conditioner on it. It's been in 100+F Texas and California sun without a visor and close to 0F in Ohio. Assuming Toyobaru used the same source for the BRZ's interior, we should be just fine.

I DID notice my rear speaker panel in my BRZ has discolored after using interior wipes. I'd be more worried about the plastic bits than the leather.

+1 for 303 Aero space, I've used it for years its great.

However it does take many years for the dash to crack in my experience. I've heard armour-all actually degrades the plastic and makes it crack faster... but we are talking like 20 years for a dash to crack.
