Dyno's seem to go all over the place with intakes. Frankly to expect an intake to make or loose 16hp at the wheels on a motor such as this is a little... silly. With Dyno's going high, low and the same on the Airiad I went with build quality and I like it. I will be modifying it further in terms of what it brings in through the front.

You have to allow the ECU to learn for the new part as well as account for what could be errors caused by the changes. Some really liked the Airaid, others did not. The same goes for just about any intake, I can take a dyno run of my Vette with a BBK and a Fast and produce similar numbers. But when I run them for 20-30 minutes then rerun the dyno I can point out drastic differences just from the materials they are composed of. Heck differences in altitude, humidity, temp can all provide such changes as well.

I've seen that intakes average around 6 WHP on this car... the 16 WHP loss looked insane, although it was mostly at the top end.

I'd love for you to make a comparison dyno.
