JDL 4-2-1 Equal Header dyno

Got the car back on the dyno to compare the JDL Equal header.

Pic vs stock and vs JDL UEL.

The equal makes a little more then the UEL multiple times through the pull. Not as big of gains as on the 2017 they came off of, but that was tuned with both headers.

Maybe there will be a bigger difference after it gets tuned. Once one is avalable Mototuned will be doing it.

Just confirms my decision to not install my JDL
UEL until there is a tuning solution - preferably including e85.

Do you have any other exhaust mods aside from the header?

Mine will be arriving soon, and I'm noticing a serious lack of decent quality o2 extender/restrictors (was specifically looking for the vibrant j-style w/ inserts) from reputable sellers. Any suggestions?

This one with the middle sized insert is working on my UEL (which came from Simmons)

Now if only Ecutek could get the new ECU's cracked. I can't wait to see what one of these is going to put down with a quality header and E85.

Probably nothing amazing, sadly. More midrange and a little up top maybe. I'd be shocked if we saw 230 whp on the above dyno.

The engine itself just seems to be out of juice up top. We're not seeing the same gains that the first gen did from header alone.

Wish I could have found that one. Ended up getting this one for more money:

I saw a YouTube video where the kid stated that jdl was making 2nd gen specific headers. Is this true?

Yup its true, JDL are making a batch for 2nd gen. As soon ECUTEK cracks ECU, we will see forced induction sales as well
