FRS Part out - OFT/Header/Oil Cooler/Skunk2 Powerbox
Parting out my 2013 FRS, putting the car back to stock before selling.
OpenFlash Tablet / OFT - Unmarried - $400 shipped ****SOLD**** 1320 Performance UEL Header - $100 + shipping Skunk2 powerbox - I cut and built an indent in order to run my oil cooler, as the lines had no way of clearing the box due to large size. Please see pictures to see what I mean. - $100 + shipping Custom oil cooler set up - Setrab oil cooler, AN fittings and lines, Mocal oil thermostat and adapter. This runs to the right/driver's side of the car, then down where the windshield spray reservoir is, then around front to be mounted under the crash bar. Works well with the Skunk2 Powerbox. - $100 Shipped ***SOLD*** Last edited by Salokin9; 09-11-2022 at 12:35 PM. |

FYI,just because it doesn't have tunes loaded on Open Flash Manager doesn't mean it's unmarried. I've been through this nightmare before and it sucks, but you have to make sure that nothing is still loaded onto the device itself. Even though it says on the PC that the device has never been used,it can still have information on it if it isn't unmarried correctly.
I'd urge anyone that's selling an OFT to take a picture of the actual information on the tablet itself first, then from Open Flash Manager,to make sure it's completely unmarried. Just for some reference, here's what my issue was. https://imgur.com/a/oCxdpsK https://imgur.com/a/JXzv7JE Not trying to scare anyone off,or make the seller look bad. Just want to make sure no one else has the same issue that I had. GLWS. Last edited by Th3rdSun; 07-11-2022 at 11:20 AM. |

Sure - do you know what I'd be looking for exactly in Open Flash Manager? I've loaded the original tune back on the car, gone through "Erase" in the OFM, confirmed I can read but not write to the car. Is this enough confirmation?

I believe that it's in the ECU info. From what I remember,if it isn't fully unmarried,it'll still have a calibration code and and a VIN.I think both of these are supposed to be blank. That part of the menu should have ECU Type,Hardware number,Calibration code,VIn/SN,and Additional info. |

OK, so there is still a calibration code and a VIN, however it had to read that from the ECU. It wasn't automatically there. In addition, when I go into tuning, I have to select the make, model, etc.
If there is another way to delete/remove stuff, I don't know where it is. There is no original file on the device, OFM says it is unmarried, the device can only read from the car and not write. I followed the procedure as outlined here: |

Hmmm? I'm not sure. I would say, just in case, try to get in contact with Open Flash just to make sure that it's ok. I'm only giving you my experience from what I remember just over two years ago. All I know is that when I bought mine second hand and tried to add a tune through the manager on my PC,it wouldn't let me do it. When I looked at the info on the tablet,it had a VIN on it that wasn't from my car, which from everything that I read, meant that it wasn't completely erased. I tend to think that if you followed the directions to the letter, then it should be fine, but just be aware that whomever you sell it to,there might be an issue. |
