You asked for it. Not crawling underneath in the ice and snow but the engine bay will give you a good idea of what underneath looks like.

Yep. The colour is not off in the picture. Everything is a uniform shade of greyish tan.

Looks like some cancer/rust infront of the radiator support there?

Yep. It is just the little tin strip that holds the rubber. Not a structural piece of the car and costs $8 if I decided to replace it at some point. The "paint" on it is so thin it is translucent. I may pressure wash it all off this summer. Or maybe not and see just how much I can build up.

What is funny is the description for the adapter I got specifically says it will not work on iOS but it actually does.

Here is a link to the exact one I ordered (pulled form my order history):
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This link should automatically select the "Bluetooth for Android (Enhanced Version)" but if not, be sure to select that option.

The OBD Fusion app is $10 and also has an inapp option to adds Toyota specific PIDs for an additional $10. It will read almost everything that Techstream can with that addon. You don't need the addon to simply read a CEL and clear a CEL though.

Here is a link to the app: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/obd-...ign-mpt=uo%3D4

Here is a video I made showing all the channels you can read with the Toyota addon:

Got the enhanced version and obd fusion. Obd fusion won't connect to anything on Bluetooth le cause it says there is nothing to connect to. Any thoughts?

Don't want to create a new thread, so I'm just gonna put this here.

Today is the two-year car-versary of purchasing my 86. I love this thing more every day. I don't think I'll ever drive anything else. One of the best decisions I've ever made.

This also marks two years on this forum. I've been on a lot of forums, and most of them are trash. This place has a lot of good info and good laughs. Thanks to you all.

Battery got "The Ick!"

Found this on my OEM battery last week, just before the snow.
Finally warmed up enough to do something about it yesterday.

The shop vacuum managed to pick up most of it that wasn't trapped under the strap.

Pulled the battery and scrubbed everything down with baking soda to a fairly good surface.
Only a little flash rust before two coats of satin black Rustoleum.
The sunroom made it up to about 80F so it dried pretty quickly.

Got a new NAPA battery just because.
The 6 year old Panasonic developing incontinence did not give me good feels.
