What tire are you on now? Stock?

I'd be more worried about brake pads and fluid, than tires. Having a reduced limit allows you to explore the limit more safely with less risk, whereas losing your ability to stop can be.... bad.

I'd recommend you go as-is for your first track day, unless your tires have less than 4/32" tread left.

had a question about air filters for stock intakes.

was wondering for tracking is it fine to just use the original air filter or is it better to upgrade to something else like TRD or K&N?

Stock is just fine; we never used anything but OEM paper filters when we were NA.

Who is CSG Michael?

perhaps @ScionOfHorus or @DaiTT500 can chime in; I'm not familiar with the area outside of shops that do crazy Texas2k builds.

@Icanfaptothis86 I personally use and like Jim Berg at MSR Houston track shop. He's worked on my 86 including track alignments corner balancing and setting up my car. What exactly are you wanting to do? If you want full out build with a cage they can handle that also. PM me and I can give you more details and answer any questions.

He just got done setting up my car for COTA this weekend.
