auto price for FRS yeah, pretty sure same for BRZ, it's typical for auto pricing being the one listed on websites.

The BRZ price is definitely the manual. Subaru's site is working perfect. Edit the price is for the 2016 BRZ, the 2015 is apparently 300 dollars more.

In the release they mentioned Scion had the lowest average age in the industry (36?)... No offense intended. I'd imagine Toyota is currently between 55-65?

ok here's a price for a manual FR-S. I believe the 2015 BRZ still has the navi, that might be why it costs more.

So, I find it kind of cool that I'll have one of the Scions. I don't think it will ever explode in value, but it will be rarer.

Something I noticed while reading through the pages was that, where some half joked that the price might one day go up, a few people jumped with some seriousness to say, and I quote "Forget about it." The pattern? They were all BRZ owners.

I think they jealous.

At this point, I'm going to accept that the facelift for the MY 2017 is actually happening. I'm sure Toyota of North America wants to distance themselves from the Scion brand with a new look rather than just applying a Toyota badge on an existing FRS.

I'm seeing $26,190 including destination for the base BRZ. It does not appear you can get an automatic base model BRZ per Subaru's website. Keep in mind you get much better headlights on the BRZ stock.

The FR-S Manual which is strangely not the default is showing $26,100 for a 2016 which does include the destination charge it looks like.

I was wrong, the BRZ is $90 more expensive. Everyone should buy the FR-S since it will save you money.

My question is, how will this effect Scion warranties?

Will Toyota take them over starting this year?

Normally, I agree, but you have to wonder, given they are not discontinuing the cars but basically slapping an already existing logo on them on a production line that already uses the logo, if it couldn't have been a relatively "snap" decision? Yes, you eat a little bit of costs for the change but not as much as dropping an entire product from production. The tC was already being phased out (as it said in the release) so really not much is changing here.

The cars are still built (with a logo change) in the same factory, shipped to the same locations, and sold by the same people. Very minimal change.

No change, press release said so, and it was serviced by Toyota anyway.
