I am trying to figure out what the width of these wheels are

The wheel is a 17 inch xxr wheel I need to know the width

If you take one off, most will have the dimensions cast on the inside rim.
Go to most any tire store and they will have a caliper to tell the width.

Do you have a long block of wood? Do you have a tape measure?
Take the wheel off. Lay it down on the ground. With the block of wood put it flush on the rim. Then measure from the bottom to the bottom part of the wood black where it touches the rim. That should give you an estimate on how wide the rim is.

Or tell us or post up the tire size.

Remember wheel widths are measured from bead to bead. A 17x8 might measure close to 9 inches total overall width, for example. Best to check for a stamping or label on the inside of the wheel.
