I was delirious after my first car wreck. 45 mph t bone that sent me into a tree. The worst of it was...(old car) so after we sent it to the junkyard the insurance lady told us there were no airbag sensors for the airbag to deploy...

yes, those comments were geared towards the track oil temp regulation setups. I like the koyo radiator, it's supposed to cut the heat soak dissipation time in half from the stock rad.

Pretty sure I have the light of dawn, I stopped playing around when my guild was at LK Hard mode. I cant remember if I came back when we starting farming it though.

With the exception of the electric supercharger - why has there not been any leaps in compact turbo or supercharger kit builds? that would be in the under $3,000 price range? Is it just not realistically possible? Would the power increase just not be sufficient enough? Are we at the golden age of conventional Turbo/SC so there isn't much to capitalize on? (hopefully that is comprehensible sorry haha)
I guess there are only so many things you can do and everything has been R&D'd and this is where we are at today? Also, why isn't anyone creating a pulley/electrical charge system or exhaust/electrical charge system? So its reducing heat, but still able to spool up the charger in two different ways at the same time? i.e. a hybrid-like FI ? I have some capital if anyone would care to take on a project like that with me I just don't have near the amount of knowledge as some of ya'll @CSG Mike , @Sportsguy83 , @nelsmar , @jamesm Last edited by 1086; 01-29-2014 at 03:27 PM. |

Both systems would need to have a clutch to disengage the electric motor from the other driver. (pulley or turbine) The turbo is a pretty hot place for a clutch assembly and electric motor too. (Clutch may not be needed on the turbo, as it would help scavenge exhaust with the electric motor) The added complexity of a supercharger (gearbox, clutch, oil, etc.) is not worth it, as more money should just be put into an electric compressor/supercharger. A true OEM electric supercharger would have the proper components that would make the standard supercharger/turbocharger pieces unnecessary. This is getting pretty off topic though, so we'll leave it at that. |
