Totally agree. The Toyota styled spoiler looks so good with the design of the car. Not sure why it was offered at least as an accessory rather than the one they currently offer, which was better suited to the first gen IMO.

Did the duckbill spoiler come pre-painted or did you have to take it to a body shop for that?

How do you like the OLM lights so far? Mine were just delivered and I'm going to install them first chance I get.

They're great! Looks so much cleaner when they're off. And they're super bright when on. Plus they stick out more than oem, which further enhances visibility. I'll take anything that helps with all the crappy drivers out there.
I also did the 4th light, as a brake light only. Really bright as well. And led reverse bulbs. Bring on the winter darkness.

It came pre-painted from Suma Performance. I watched this video on their website and got a discount code.

I never really had an issue with either when driving hard, but it does feel sharper now. It feels less sluggish when putting around.

I'm sorry,I have a hard time calling a tail a bill. All the ducks around here are looking at me funny. I still want one. I think they look cool. Who cares what a duck thinks anyway!

Does that one come with the drilling templates and hardware? Or is it just stuck on with 3M Tape?

EDIT: Clicked forward a bit, looks like 3M only.

I would buy the actual OEM vs what was just shared. I got mine from 86speed.com I think for $399 shipped. I comes with the drilling template and hardware so it actually bolts to existing spoiler like the factory one does vs just 3M tape.

Which is good since I have my car ceramic coated at like 22 miles and the 3M tape only wouldn't stay anyway.

You are right, it only comes with the 3M tape. I wanted this version because I really did not want to drill holes into my trunk. The one from 86speed does have 6 bolts but 4 of them are stuck on the the spoiler with 3M tape. I bought another roll of 3M tape to mount my with and it isn’t going anywhere, but I understand if you want the extra security.
I paid $383 including tax and shipping. The white and red ones are on sale for $255 and the grey is $275!

Is the proper term duck bill spoiler or duck tail? I always though it was tail.

Pretty sure it was Duck Tail, certainly makes more sense (pretty sure Porsche called it a Duck Tail on the old 911's). But Toyota calls it a Duck Bill Spoiler, so..

I had a TRD spoiler on my first gen for many years with just 3M tape with no issues. A buddy has had his on with just 3M tape for 7 years now... I don't think they're going to just fall off.

You don't drill holes in your trunk, you drill them in the existing spoiler that is mounted on the trunk.

Just taking the advice of my detail guy that 3M tape isn't going to stick to ceramic coating very well.
