My Versus front splitter + UCW Rear Wing at 6* AOA resulted in 2 mph less VMax at Mid-Ohio (122 vs 120 mph) into China Beach and still was ~1.5 seconds faster on the same tire same conditions.

I guess I'm not discounting a wing; an instructor I respect suggested a wickerbill.

Did you ever entertain that before adding your wing? (I'd love to be able to get to 120 on the back of Mid-Oh!)

Kyle, I thought this one was way on the drastic side!

Hmm, so follow up question. Why does the instructor tell you to get a wickerbill? What's going on with the car that would dictate that (just trying to get a thought process behind it).

As far as me, no. I didn't entertain it because in NASA TT the point deduction for a rear wing element is the same regardless of what occurs and I know a wing is better overall for downforce levels I want to achieve.

And here's the comparison. Wingless vs Wing

Wingless

Wing

Reasons to do a spoiler/ducktail over a wing? Cost, simplicity, convenience, rules, etc.
Not performance.

A proper wing will be far more effective.

Okay, well, I feel a lot better about a WING.

Now for any input on various brands/models. . . . . . widths, riser heights, etc.

More important than having a wing is having a balanced aero. A big ass wing without a front splitter (or with one that doesnt do shit, like 90% of "premade" splitters out there) is going to make the car understeer a lot, for no reason. Racecomp and monkey said it best, just make sure your splitter is up to the task, just sticking a flat piece of *insert your prefered material here* below your bumper is not doing much of anything.

If you're not point/class limited, just get a big wang. https://9livesracing.com/collections...gt86-2012-2019

With the proposed SCCA TTT4 changes, people will be forced to run a TINY joke of a wing or a spoiler like the 949 racing is running. I will be for sure going with the spoiler in that scenario.

Why do you want to chassis mount?

check out this post and another I made a few posts back in my build thread about making a simple chassis mount. Mine has stood up to 130 mph on a nascar track.

To avoid any flexing and may be using a unit that doesn't include mounts for our platform.
