That is somewhat the point. I need more blood flow apparently so my legs don't fall asleep while upright at work. I'm also told compresion pants will do wonder for my bad knee which typfically only a bother on rainy, cold days. Not willing to wear full legging/briefs under my work clothes with the summer heat though.

I prefer the compression leg sleeves/socks. I find them more comfortable to wear for longer.

Yep, compression stockings are what I was about to recommend.

I like riding my bicycle for cardio. It's pretty low impact unless you go doing some crazy shit like moutain biking.

You don't have to ride the stupid shit. I just ride it because.....

Most of my friends and family that ride, ride cross country trails. I am looking at getting into that for the exercise as opposed to going to the gym all the time.

A good compromise would be to take an exercise bike to the mountains.

Last time I tried to run down the street with my eliptical the neighbors called the cops.

I really should take up bike riding again, its about the only form of exercise I really enjoy. I don't have much of an excuse either because the combined Silver Comet/Chief Ladiga Trail (94 miles) runs within a short distance of my home.

The last time I rode a bike was when I was 12.

You had the 3-speed!?! Sweet.

I only had the Sting-Ray, but I did have the matching glitter seat, just like this one, well minus the flat tire.

Yep!
Think I told this before a few years back but...
I grew up living in abject poverty. We were pretty much the very definition of "poor white trash".
When I was 8 I really wanted a bike and my dad who was a garbage collector at that time brought me home the remains of something he pulled out of the trash while working. I made it function but took a lot of shit at school so I wanted the latest and greatest.
Made a fuss the next year and dad said if I wanted something new I had to pay for it myself. Said I could use an acre of our property to grow and sell some corn. So I grabbed the tractor and plowed up the field, he got some seed corn someplace (probably stole it) and I planted, tended and harvested it all on my own. I then took it in my old red wagon to the new subdivision a few miles away and sold it door to door for 50 cents a dozen. When I was done he took his 50% (fuel and seed right?) and the rest was mine. Went out and bought the best bike Woolworths had to offer. Still had enough left over to buy a BB gun as well!
