new wheels for my '20 BRZ ts
looking for new wheels for my BRZ ts. the OEM rim is 18x7.5, offset=48mm. OEM tires are 215/40 R18. I have two questions. (1) if I'm looking for 18x7.5 rims, offset can be, say, 40 mm, and can I use spacers to make 48 mm offset without any difficulty? (2) if I'm looking for 17 inch rims, do they fit on my car? appreciate any input from you. Thanks.

40mm offset is fine. You can go lower even. 35mm looks about right on 7.5” wheels IMO, but it’s all subjective.
Spacers decrease the offset. 47mm wheels with a 12mm spacer becomes 35mm. Do some reading here, most of your questions will be answered: https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7535 |
