Switched out window regulator. Now my window decided that this will be its max height
https://streamable.com/gwl4eu
So what I thought would be a 2 hour project turned into a 3 day nightmare. Tomorrow will be my 4th day dealing with this crap. Anyone know why my window thinks that is the max height? It behaves like a normal window for the passenger side; the window will go down a bit when you open it, and slide back up when you close it. How it should be. My problem is that I cannot get the window to go any higher then what the video shows. There are no physical blockages causing the window to stop there. I've loosened and played around with all the nuts. I'm losing my mind here. I'm afraid that not even an auto glass store will know how to fix it. Anyone help would be appreciated. Thanks |

@Ultramaroon is our resident window expert. Since his window problem was a while back, it will fit into his long term memory span and he will most likely be able to remember and help you out. I hope you get it figured out. You might try unplugging your car, drain it, then plug it back in to re-set the BCU (that was Bubba's suggestion). (what the hell was wrong with these anyway - ) |

New to me. Hopefully others have seen and solved it. Here's some stuff I've been reading. The initialization looks touchy. Needs to be repeated a few times exactly according to procedure. There are some DT codes that need to be cleared but they don't interfere with initialization.

Done and done. It all started with pulling the bulbs for power consumption measurements a while ago..

Along the journey it's good to stop and smell the burned insulation.

that's New Old Stock, back when you could still replace the smoke. now the smoke is made of unicorn tears, and cost too much to replace. cheaper to replace the wires for the end user.
