Question E85 + Fullblown stage 1 turbo kit on stock internals

I was just wondering how will the super "strong" internals will hold up with such an application... I would love to reach 400hp... My main goal is 570 to the wheels but I asked about building my engine completely and they said it was gonna be about 15k 💀 so that'll have to be step by step... Also would appreciate tips to know what do I need to upgrade so it'll be able to hold 400hp without falling apart.. like will the stock clutch hold? Im changing it anyways but I wanna know what to change first

Gonna be the one to shut you down real quick, but you will not last long at 400HP with the stock bottom end. It will not be a question of "if" it will blow but "when".

It's much easier to build the engine when you don't need to replace half of it due to metal shavings.

I just can't be bothered to list everything. Search this sub forum. You'll need a lot. Spend the next month reading (not joking) and come back

Agreed. Literally another thread posted in the past week that answered a lot of this. Short and sweet:

400 whp on stock motor = kaboom
400 whp on built motor = blown transmission

If you want the details, go find the other 100 threads

What he said. Any level of boost be prepared for a new engine and depending on tq trans to. 3rd and 4th seem to go with hard WOT pulls. What I have learned with this car and in the future you want that level of power just get it from the factory. This is not the right platform to look for those power numbers unless you can wrench yourself

I'll throw my 2 cents in. After a 350 whp expect something to blow up sooner than later. Low torque will preserve things but not for much longer. Even built motors and built aisins are somewhat of a coin toss. If you go that route you'll become frustrated with the platform very quickly unless you have unlimited funds. My opinion? 300 whp, lower-ish torque, and supporting mods and you'll have a solid enough build before crossing the line into a money pit. And I agree if you want more power for less money you'd be better off switching platforms.

There was someone on here I believe that achieved 605hp on all stock internals and trans. Not sure how long it lasted but definitely interested.

Making 650 hp for 15 minutes (enough to do a few dyno pulls) is worlds different from 650 hp lasting any time on the street or track.

This . People should stop quoting clearly ridiculous dyno numbers. There’s no magic tune where both the motor and the drivetrain survives 400whp+. For that matter everyone who posts on here should read the mountain of information and stop asking “how can my car make 500whp?” Go to a tuning shop and ask but be prepared to fork out some serious coin for something reliable. A better question you should ask yourselves is why do you even need that much power? Professional racers spend years learning how to handle a vehicle with a fraction of that power to weight and you want to take that on the street? Stop posting and go learn how to drive the car first.

Rant over.

Lol I'm sure it wouldn't last long.
