Haha with that type of unveiling for your new car everyone is gonna think you just dropped 100k on your new "Toyota Scion FRS". I can see the headlines now one man single handedly turned around the economy by purchasing this new one of eighty six sports cars developed by Toyota and Subaru...now to the unveiling footage.

Congrats for making the news!

What they didn't mention is that approx. $23,000 of that money was going back to Japan. *shhhhhh* That's OK, their economy isn't doing too hot, either.

Most people are clueless about Scion's existence though. Any time I tell people I'm buying a Scion FR-S, I have to follow that up with "it's a Toyota."

And the one person who did recognize Scion said "oh, Toyota's budget brand."

And that's why I'm rebadging.

That reminds me of that Obama SNL skit where he's like, "And my cash for clunkers program has helped the economy... unfortunatly, it was the economy of Japan."

Anyway, I don't think the economy is truly recovering but I think there are some new models which have generated some interest amongst potential buyers. Auto makers have pretty much made nothing but crap for the past 4 years. So I'm hoping car manufacturers really start making some special cars from here on out.

While shopping for insurance, I noticed some places don't have "Scion" as a its own make but rather have them listed under "Toyota" as models (eg "Toyota" "Scion tC").
