I sprung a leak from my feed line and it got on my turbo blanket. I took off the blanket and now I am wondering the best way to clean the blanket. Brake cleaner?

Its a DEI titanium turbo blanket.

I'd give DEI a call. When I had a question about protecting my lower radiator hose from a header primary, I was able to talk to a tech right away to get advice. They're here in the US, so they're easy to contact.

You can try using brake cleaner to thin out the oil but I do not know if that would present a risk. If you went this route you would need to let it fully dry for a day to ensure that the chemical is not flammable. The recommendation that I pass on is to use a dish soap that will break down oils. You can use a light mixture of soap and water and lightly apply it to the shield with a soft towel. Keep in mind that if you disturb the shields fibers, the product will show wear. You may find that it is just best to replace the shield (depending on the amount of absorbed oil).

I would take DEI's advice of replacing it. A turbo blanket that was soaked in oil is a fire waiting to happen.

He recommended a black hose shielding product called Fire Sleeve, I think. It wasn't available in the time I needed it, so I doubled up with a short length of titanium wrap and some of their aluminumized wire sleeve slit open and wrapped around the hose.

I wouldn't risk the blanket... secondly I'd use it as an excuse and order a PTP Lava blanket! Mine feels so much better than my DEI black one did FWIW!

Another vote for the PTP blanket. Have one on my WRX (wrap on and secure with safety wire) and no complaints.

Would not risk cleaning or otherwise trying to get the oil out, I would do something like put it in the BBQ or an oven (junk/powdercoating) to see if I could vaporize/flash the oil out. Not even sure it would work once the material is soaked, or if the oven would get hot enough. Flash point is usually around 500F IIRC....

Yeah, nevermind. I would get a new blanket and not have to worry about the old one catching on fire or not working as well as it did.
