Turn signals don't always automatically turn off

Hello,

Has anyone else experienced this problem? I have a 2016 BRZ and it doesn't always automatically turn the turn signals off after making a turn. My Camry never had this problem.

It doesn't happen all the time, but it seems like I have to take the turn at a full 90 degree angle sometimes to get them to turn off.

Is there an easy fix for this, or is this a general issue?

Thanks,
Bill

How aggressive are the turns? I've never had this issue unless the turn is not a sharp left or right. If it's a long turn where the steering wheel never reaches a certain point to make it "click" then it won't reset

Oh, I have that problem ...... all of the time ...... doesn't matter what vehicle I'm driving.

mrs humfrz is ALWAYS nagging me about it .....

She says "can't you see that blinker light flashing" .. ??

I say "not too well".

She says, "well, can't you hear it making that sound" ..??

I say, "no, not at all".

She says "I just know I'm going to die in this car someday" .....

I've noticed this too if the turn is not a quick 90 degrees. Another quirk of the twins, just like the crickets.

I treat my signal stalk like my transmission. Manual.

To answer your question, yes the signal won't always turn off after a turn (for me). I just flick it off as I return the wheel after turning.

Yeah, it usually happens to me when I'm just cruising around town or going to the store. It must be some kind of weird quirk. It's been happening since before I did any mods to the car. Maybe I'll get a Toyota Celica stalk for it. A 2003-2005 should work. I've been thinking about ordering the Celica door cups as well to mod out the Subie doors. Both items should be pretty cheap to order new. It would be nice for the doors to unlock when you pull the handle. Should be any easy mod, or I'll just wait to see what comes out on the 2017 models and upgrade the parts from the MY17.

Thanks,
Bill

It all depends on how far you turn the wheel. Not far enough and the cam does not engage and flip it back off. Not a problem nor issue just the way it is.
These ones are better than Mitsubishi uses by a long shot. Those things were always on.
