Lol thanks. I see it too. I could delete it, but where's the fun in that.

I could also edit it and make your post seem silly. There might be some fun in that.

Ugh, after 7 hours finally back at work to pick up my truck. Spending that much time with someone you don't know during a medical incident makes for a long day. Two broken finger tip bones to go along with the hamburgered fingers. Should be okay as long as he keeps on top of preventing infection.

It's probably a bit more than that, but infection is the first hurdle. Gonna be an interesting time for him - hopefully he keeps on top of things and PT.
As the skin heals it can glue itself to the tendons, so you have to do stuff to prevent that (only hurts a bit... but it's way worse if you don't stay on top of it I suspect).
I had a piece of wood jump off the table saw into my finger many moons ago, broke the bone (middle segment middle finger) and mangled the skin badly on that finger, a bit less on my ring finger. Long surgery to clean everything out (no idea if needed, but the doc didn't want to risk it.) Lucky for me, once I could start using the finger the PT went quickly - evidently violin playing is really good finger therapy (left hand, anyway).

The company president was just saying the same thing. He was commenting earlier in the day on what we were going to do with the shop guys when I am off or at a trade show that I have coming up. He didn't want anyone back there that wasn't very experienced while I was gone. The guy that got hurt used to work for a metal fab place and ran big machines before, that is why we moved him to the shop. Though complacency is
the mother of blah blah blah and all.

It's been one of those weeks anyway. Our production line supervisor of 20 years threw a hissy fit and walked out this week over something that doesn't affect him.

So the question now is ...
What will be done so it can't happen again?

And telling people "be careful" is not an acceptable answer.

Welding a hook towards the bottom of the bins so you can set it in the big scrap bin and grab the bottom with the overhead to flip it over with the hoist.
