The old stand ups were a lot different then the ones they sell today. It took quite a while until you got good enough to do any kind of maneuvering standing up, then, even if you got good, and modded to double the HP, you were still doing maybe 25-30 mph on glass. The ones now, an 8 year old that has never rode one before can get on one and go 65. I spent a lot of time on one of the original 440s back in the day.

No current reg, you can still register 2 strokes here. You don’t even need a title to register watercraft or off-road atv’s/mc’s in OR.

I have seen some of the cars on the road and wondered if they had titles much less recreational stuff!

There is a forum for a local group I'm apart of dedicated to finding and photographing the most out of date/expired temp tags on cars they see being daily driven. The amount of cars with >2 year-old paper 30day temp tags is simply amazing. Mostly Dodges, the amount of bike and watercraft doing the same has to be higher with less enforcement surely.

Home owners. I want to hear your opinion on this. We want to work on some things on the house; Add AC to the house, pave driveway, build closets, re-do paint in bathroom, clear tree branches on driveway to prevent acorn damage.

We got two options; sell the house and look for something that has everything we need/want. Or take advantage of value added to our current house and invest in it by re-financing it without going too overboard. Have to get some estimates first.

Don't really want to move out of the town we live in; has low taxes, quiet, great schools, safe. But there isn't anything that we're interesting in as of this moment. We can wait, no rush to work on projects, or get another house.

Any thoughts on what would be a good idea from experience? House went up in value by $120K.

Fix it up the way you want it. Moving can just open a new can of worms. All of the things you mentioned will increase your comfort and add value so it is a win win.

Was thinking the same thing, selling the house/buying a new house, would still require us to fix some things within the house in order to make it more appealing/add value. Also, while our house gained value, so did every other house in our town, so we might end up losing money. Investing in it without going too overboard, or in stages by priority level, will helps us in the long run.

@spcmafia, I agree with @Tcoat, if you like your house and your location upgrade it. Just be careful you don't "outbuild" the neighborhood. Also, remember just because it's up $120K now, doesn't mean it will stay that way long term so if you can pay cash, or pay it off as quickly as you can.

Real estate used to be a slow and steady gain, but I'm not convinced that is still the case not that I'm any expert.

Moving house is right up there as one of the most traumatic things you can do. Yeah, generalization I know but true for many people.
A quick search on "moving house traumatic" returns a metric heap of sites.
