Well, that's awful nice of you. The badgers will enjoy the squash, the crows will enjoy the tomatoes and the raccoons will feast on the sweet corn -

I'm planting plenty, hopefully they will leave some for me.

Haven't seen a badger since july.

Rarely see a crow. (Neighbors don't mind if you shoot them with pheasant shot)

Never seen a raccoon.

I'm sure they already would have been I my garbage. I'm pretty sure we don't have any in my area. Or the corn fields around my division keep them happy.

Well, OK. Quick story. Back in Missouri I had a good sized garden. I planted several long rows of sweet corn. I lived on the edge of the Missouri River bottom land. The farmers grew many acres of corn nearby.

Each day after the corn ears started to fill out I watched then carefully. When the time was just right, I planned my harvest for the next morning. The next morning, when I went out to the garden, ALL of the ears of corn were pulled down on the stalks eaten off - by racoons.

Well, he is just trying to protect his old family recipe. Now you know why it was never challenged -
