TIL that anyone with a semi-decent camera and Adobe Lightroom can call themselves a photographer.

Just reduce the exposure a couple of notches, apply filter, automatic touch up. Profit.

I saw this crap starting to happen 20 years ago when the D100 came out.
Was still shooting skate and surf shots on film.
My friends and I headed to town to skate/film. That is when I saw my first Digital SLR camera. (at least one I could touch and look at)

The kid was nice enough to let me use it too!
I think it was like a 2K+ camera back then.

Still love the fact that the Windows XP background is a film photo and not altered.

Is that like saying anyone with an automatic transmission can call themselves a driver?

I just find it a little insulting that you can go to Walmart, get yourself a decent camera, then apply an Instagram filter to the pictures and then change your description on profile to photographer haha. Then proceed to charge insane amounts of money per hour. When there are people who have spent years and a lot of money on proper equipment and education to be a photographer.

Question, will you sit through a match?? I remember the last match I attended, it rained, and rained and then rained some more.. I think the teams managed about 30 minutes of play over the whole day!

I paid 3 times more for just the Tamiya lens as I paid for the digital camera.

Now that I understand the game a little better I would with some caveats.

I'd attend a T20, it's about the same as a US Baseball game in terms of length.

If I was going with a group of mates and we were making a day of it, I'd go to a One Day Match maybe once or twice a year.

There would have to be something really special going on for me to attend a Test Match though, like I just won the lottery and was sponsoring the team. How long do they actually play each day? That wasn't clear in the video.

And the digital camera damn near pushed the target over!

TIL (OK, technically it was Sunday) that a 2005 Mustang will run with a completely dead alternator (0 output) for as much as 15 miles off the battery, with the radio and the A/C running and still be at half charged.

(MomHawk's alternator went out while she was running an errand. She called me about the issue, I told her to turn around and come home thinking she had just run up the street. Didn't think to tell her to turn off all the other electrics, but she did a face palm when I explained it to her).

Strange how much turn in he has there. I'd expect to see much less bar input. Is that a really sharp corner or just the angle making it look like more then it is?
