Ahhh, the elusive unicorn, i salute your perserverance in your search for the $5k solution.

3/2016 Update:

I know there's a big split of opinions about our shop car, some like it, some hate it. Some people respect drag racing, other's say it's for idiot rednecks. Some people like 2JZ swaps, some people say we ruined the car or it's not a real 86 anymore. All we know is it's fun and we like it so that's all that really matters!

This season the only thing we did was refresh the engine, switch the turbo, and go with a bigger tire, we are excited to see how this year goes!

Good job on this!

LOL most of their big tire cars run 4's in the 1/8th on the street... really need a big cube v8 with lots of lowend torque to compete with them. Even 1500 isnt shit unless the car weighs next to nothing. Their small tire cars make like ~2000

Thanks man: I ran 26" radial R last season and cut a 1.31 sixty foot with them, very sticky.

The new ones are 275/60/16 Radial Pro.

I have the biggest turbo that I can run without adding weight to follow class rules.

Can't wait to get @spitfire481 's car done, we are waiting on some valve shims so his engine can go together and get in the car. I'm hoping we will dip into the 9s with his car (and we will show videos of the whole pass without edits to avoid controversy)
