Which Color Vinyl Wrap on RS 1.0?

I kind of made a split second decision today at my Toyota Dealership. I was originally gonna go in for a Monogram in Asphalt, but they didn't have any available. All the had was one in Firestorm and one in Hot Lava.

I saw the RS 1.0 in the show room and while I loved the kit and all the features they added, I wasn't a huge fan of the yellow color. I actually enjoy Yellow on Black, but it seemed to flashy for my style. I was about to call another dealership and see if they had an Asphalt when the dealer helping me offered another solution. Vinyl Wrap the RS 1.0 to a color I'd enjoy.

I debated whether or not this would be worth the price until they offered to knock off Dealer Fees and sell the car to me at invoice price. Not only that but they offered to sell me the TRD Tires at cost and also do a full Vinyl install for 2,000 or cut me a check for 2,000 if I could fine another place that could do it cheaper.

The offer sounded too good in my ears (still not sure if I made a mistake though) and so I went for it.

Now the tires and the Vinyl are not final. I have to ask them for it when I go pick up the car tomorrow. If I do the Vinyl Installation, what color do you guys think would go best with the TRD kit remaining in black?

I was thinking a Matte White or Gloss White. I originally wanted to go with Gloss Black but I think that would ruin the appeal of the TRD Kit. Gloss or Matte Red was another option I thought it. Carbon Fiber would once again be too much of an attention grabber on a already head turning car such as this.

OMG I would not hide that beautiful color. I WOULD however get that 2K check and accent it with some carbon..

But to each his own..

Buy RS 1.0 at dealer invoice, take $2k check. Park RS 1.0. Wait until all RS 1.0's are sold. Sell to someone who really wanted one but missed out, at dealer invoice price you paid which won't be unreasonable. Find monogram in said color. $2K profit. That's how I see it...

From what you wrote, you seem to want a subtle color. White always works for clean a d subtle. But if it was me, I'd do Lamborghini green ahah. :p

Go for a matte white. It'll look good.

You have a chance to wrap a car ANY color, and you choose the same color as hundreds of other twins on the road?

WTF is wrong with you?! Go unique! Make it stand out. Like Adam Stastny's beautiful teal machine.

I would pocket the $2k and make myself like yellow. Sorry I'm cheap.

So let me see if I have this right...

They "knocked off" their fees = less profit
They gave you TRD "tires" (I presume you meant rims and tires) at cost = less profit
They will give you $2000 for wrap (even if you don't do it) = an actual LOSS
All this on a high demand special edition car that could not have sat on the lot more then a week or two?
They didn't try to do any deal on the two cars that must have been sitting there for months?
They didn't offer to find one in your colour choice?
They are willing to take a loss just because they didn't have the colour you wanted?
It is the beginning of the month so the dealer should not be desperate.

Everybody go there and buy a car quick because that dealer won't be around long at this rate!!!!

Something fishy about the whole story I think.

@Tcoat I am with you. I don't buy this story for one second.

Until I see some papers of actual sale I say this thread is troll bait.

Dealers don't make habits of selling limited release edition vehicles, THAT JUST HIT THE LOT, for no profit or at a loss.

Also what are TRD tires? Do you mean the wheels and tires?

Or its dealer financing at +15%. Either way, they are getting their money.

Agreed. That wouldn't even fly in New England where they couldn't give these cars away.
