Going on my 3rd HPFP

I poked around and didn't see anything similar so I figured that I would ask. I took my car in at 12k for service and they did the recall on the fuel pump to fix the crickets. Less than 1k later and they were back. Took it in at 15k for service and they're replacing it yet again. This time it will take several days for parts and I get a loaner......

"Dear God.... Please PLEASE don't let it be a prius."

Am I the only one?

You are trying to fix something that isn't broken and won't change until they actually change the design. There are approximately 37 million posts about this topic already.

I'm the opposite. I prefer to stay away from the dealer and warranty work as much as possible because they may tend to open up a can of worms.

As others have mentioned, the crickets are more of an annoyance than a problem.

We'll learn to live in harmony.

I shadowed the issues/tsb section for a full year before pulling the trigger. It allowed me to learn what were common problems that may arise during owning an FRS/BRZ and issues that I need to live with. I hear the crickets here and there but just take a few steps back and just admire your ride mate (:

small pay off for owning this beauty.

This. I picked up my car new, had 12km when I got it. The NEXT DAY, I had crickets. I loled about it and told myself to call the dealer when it leaves me on the side of the road.

Each time they touch your car, there's a chance they'll break something else. How many times do you want those fuel lines touched?

Sorry if it's exactly what everyone's referring to. But on the rev 2 bulletin for the pump, the new pumps a different model number, is it a different design though?
Or is the "You are trying to fix something that isn't broken and won't change until they actually change the design," thing everyone's referring to is the rev 2?

There is no recall. It is a technical service bulletin, if the customer complains they replace the pump. Recall's are for things that are a hazard, which the pump is not.
