Already did, the lines from the washer fluid tank were chewed through.

I got lucky though, could've been something a lot more expensive.

I had a burning smell for nearly 10k miles in my 2015. Got fixed when they did the 60,000 service (with spark plug change). It was a leaking right side valve cover. Leaked a small amount of oil on to the catalytic converter attached to the header.

PS. Mice and chipmunks love the plenum on the inlet side of the engine air cleaner and the cabin air intake. I had an eaten through cabin air filter in my 2015 removed and the whole system cleaned and disinfected. I also pulled my engine air filter and checked for acorns every fall and spring.

Burning rubber or oil smell? Rear block-off cover on MT and valve cover are the two main things to check for causes of burning oil smell. Usually it's a seeping valve cover since that gets on header and heats up the oil residue. The top side of the aluminum engine undertray will be coated with some oil residue/sludge gunk near the area as well as a giveaway...

I had two leaks on my 2013 MT FRS.. cam cover plate, which dealer attempted to fix twice unsuccessfully and I finally fixed using the Racesent part, and the timing chain cover, which the dealership also did under warranty... and overdid the sealant, which according to their mastertech who did my valve spring recall a year later contributed to the grenading of my enging 600 miles after the recall job. Have them check your timing chain cover. If it is leaking, make SURE they follow, exactly, the amount, locations, and type of sealant to be used.

My battery positive terminal shield fell off and melted over the exhaust. Smelled like burning plastic for awhile although a mechanic should see that quick enough...
