Would an upgraded clutch such as the act street HD be a good part to go with to accommodate edelbrock +e85?

I figured if greasing the fork doesn't fix it I'll bring it in if they service the car and open up the transmission I'll just get an upgraded clutch.
Yes, you'll need an upgraded clutch, and the ACT is pretty popular (and frequently goes in and out of stock).

Take a look at the Spec 2+ kit. I'm running that on my Vette (3200lbs w/ 520+ft/lbs TQ) with the Spec lightweight flywheel. It holds perfectly and acts like stock for daily driving. No chatter even when slipping it for stop and go driving. In the FR-s they claim it's good to 264ft/lbs. Wouldn't go any more agressive than that though for a daily.

Gonna have to cancel my edelbrock plans now. Just discovered an engine leak in the same area as before (timing chain cover). Appears to be a slow leak that I most likely have had since the very beginning but neve noticed until 20k miles when I removed the cover to install the OFH (never did it btw). Luckily the dealership fixed it under warranty. I'm at 31k miles now.

I now have no confidence in my engine being built tough enough to accommodate the edelbrock. What a sad realization

Honestly there's a whole lot more than 9 owners now.

And if anyone ever has an issue with missing parts, just call Edelbrock tech support directly. They will more than likely send you what's missing first class. You don't need to go through your retailer for a missing bolt.

lol that was my point. I'm sure Edelbrock has shipped a lot more than 9 kits out. Which means the owners list on the first page needs some love.

I.E if you own the setup, let our buddy Mike know so he can update the first page with your name.

Maybe these are just CSG Edelbrock owners? I can start a new thread that is more open if needed...

Yes, call the tech line directly and bypass their operator, because she rudely told me I had to go back through my retailer.

Edelbrock shipped out my part after a day and it was sent ground. YMMV. I had more than a missing bolt though, it was a couple larger parts.

I bought my kit directly through Edelbrock, and am on the list.

Cool, then I'm an owner and can be added to the list.

I had a different experience. Called tech support directly and they gave me the same answer of having to go through my "dealer" to get parts. I haven't followed up with my dealer in a while, so I'm sure nothing happened. Good thing its a minor part I was able to mcguyver.

If there is something missing you are more than welcome to PM me here or call our tech line directly.

We would like to know what some people have been missing so we can address the issue immediately.

Hey guys, I'm buttoning everything back up here and found a fault in the instructions. It does not specifically say to reinstall the radiator shroud. To me it seems obvious to do so, but what did you all do? Once I have this advice should be able to finish up and take a quick ride

Not entirely sure what you mean by "radiator shroud", do you have a pic of the part?

That's what it's called in the instructions when you remove it. It goes from the crash beam to the upper radiator support.
