how can you compare jeeps to sports cars???

Jeeps run axles at different angles with different types of stresses and different stress points. There is simply no comparison between an IRS diff in a jeep used for 4x4ing and one used for a sports car...

honestly this is out of my budget, im thinking a skyline r33 gt-r IRS, we have been racing skylines deep into the 7s with the stock diff and stock shafts/hubs ...

the cross memeber design looks very similar, anyone tried the r200 nissan IRS on the brz yet ? works in the s2000 !

that would be a cheaper option able to handle as much as the 8.8 for sure, especially on a light car !

4wd... Initial launching shock is on the rear axles and slip is detected then torque is transferred forward to help regain traction. Unless an ATESSA controller is used to control/lock a specified percentage.

Most of the guys here have gone 7s on stock R200s,

going 910whp was cheap, a 2jz is very cheap over here, pistons and rods, and titan 272s and springs were cheap also ...

this 8.8 conversion isnt, a v160 for example isnt cheap either, im running an r154, the only thing left is a longer final drive and stronger rear end ..

I think people easily forget these parts aren't for daily boosted BRZs when saying it's pricey. These are 9 second race car parts.

The m85 lsd rear can be gotten for for $600-800. 3.73 rear and has held together on is300's with over 600tq. Then all you really need are axles, as the drive shaft is really just a gimmick for gains in the 1/4.

If you daily your boosted 86, just go with a m85 and possibly DSS axles. You'll be covered at least to 600hp (axle rated limit), and 600hp is beyond most peoples' power goals on a daily anyway due to the stock trans.
