Element Tunning Competition Engines, Whats there Rep

I have decided aginst a 2JZ GTE swap, too much coin. So i'm looking at built Fa20 engines. I ran across a post in a forum that led me to

http://elementtuning.com/competition...r-wrx-fa20dit/

On the face of it they look legit and have been racing FRS/BRZ for 9 years so they should know a thing or two about builing these things.

There offering a completely built long block for 7,363 That's the pricey one!

Element Tuning Pro Comp 10.5:1 Turbo Engine Build with Big Valve Heads $7363

Sounds really good? Any body know the catch, any body got anything to say about Element Tunning, good or bad.

Thanks

I can’t speak directly of their engine building ability, but they have a pretty good reputation on these forums because of their contributions to the technical knowledge base, specifically information about oil temperature and oil pressure issues.

Came here to say about the same thing. I bet they've been winning races with the Miata platform since the mid 80s too

To their credit they posted that in 2015 and it was a general reference to Subaru engine building.

I haven't had any experience with them but based on their shared research into the FA20 oiling system and that they race FA20's they'd have my business if I were in the market for a built engine.

Didn't realize they were in MD...this makes this a rather interesting option...some competition for IAG for sure!

While IAG has a ton of experience with Subaru's writ large, it seems their experience is much less on the FA20, while Element is competing with their blocks regularly.

Thanks for drawing my attention to this...bye bye, money

they have an LS in their car now because of fa20 oiling failures.... Have not seen any issues with their fa20 work though and they have contributed a lot of research and information to the forum.
