Here's hoping your power comes back soon.
Thank you all for the kind thought. However, Hydro One's "Storm Center" was reporting that power would not be returned until 12:00 p.m.

So, we hopped in the wife's car and drove the hour and fifteen minutes to our oldest daughter's new home. They had just setup a temporary tower for they new Starlink sat system. (Thanks Elon) They now get F1 TV over internet. So we were able to watch the race from sight in lap to champagne shower. WOW! What a total fuster cluck at the end.

Nikita will miss the race today tks to C-19 so that makes one safety car left to call out.
Lots of trees broken or up rooted all around us. We were lucky, no real major damage that I have seen yet.

I remember the Great Ice Storm of 1998. You guys in Quebec got it ten times worse than we did and we got hit VERY HARD!
That race had one too many Safety Cars, (the last one). Excrement should collide with a rotating air movement device.

I spent most of that time downtown MTL with a sleeping bag under my desk, as our office had a UPS & generator and the Co were paying us the take out*. I was doing IT support at the time, most of our Server rooms at multiple sites were out and I remember one redneck call for Lotus Notes mail issue from someone in Toronto wishing my French ass to freeze to hell because his @mail server had been down for the past 6 days, I politely reminded him his host server was in Ontario and a lot of his neighbours an hr down the 401 were really freezing their buts!

I feel your spell check is as good as the F1 engagement rules… Both Open to interpretation.

Not really into F1, but I've kept up with things a bit this year.

I don't think the last race was the decider, but the season left me sour with some really bizarre decisions through the year. Doesn't help that RB has managed to make me dislike almost everything about them. Oh well.

I'm just glad both cars finished, Lewis fought but it wasn't enough, Max didn't have to put him in the wall to win.

Next year I bet each team will have a lobbyist sitting at Masis elbows so they might have any idea what rules he will decide matter

I bet Masi is going to have someone screen his calls for him next year.

He was 12 seconds down when Latifi binned it. He was gaining, but he wouldn’t have caught LH on his own.

Probably not, but he did manage to get close enough that Mercedes couldn't risk bringing Hamilton in.

He was half a car ahead in the middle of t6.

There’s been a divide it seems between Merc and Ham regarding strategy at times like this where Ham always wants to take a pit strategy that favors faster rubber and Merc prioritizes track position.

I think Merc does this because of how good Ham is at maintaining tires BUT they should recognize how good Ham is at passing drivers as well.

F’ Masi. I’m not a fan of see Crash Verstappen win under these circumstances. I hope that whomever ends up being Maxs closest competitor next year, punts him a time or two (or however many times is necessary) so he’ll realize it’s not fun racing with target on your car.

What Masi did was very WWE-ish. If you look at the reasons why the Mercedes protest was thrown out, FIA basically argued that one of the regulations provides Masi with ultimate power, so he can basically make up the rules as the race goes along, as evidenced by lapped cars not allowed to overtake, and then suddenly letting them go at the very last moment. I am sure this is not over yet.

It's over for literally everyone who matters. The protests were dropped, Merc isn't going to protest more, everyone has packed up and gone home.

I'm looking forward to seeing the 2022 cars and how they go.

Russell as Hamilton’s team mate will be the thing that will be interesting IMO
