is there a oil temp sensor installed from factory?
if there is one installed, how can i get the readings?
i basically just wanna know when the oil is up to temp and i can start revving it.. i heard that you can get the readings by just using an app for iphone/android. is that correct? which app do you recommend? thanks in advance for your answers! |

I actively monitor with my openflash tablet everyday, so the answer would be a yes. I'm fairly certain the Bluetooth obd2 adapters and certain programs will monitor it as well.

The sensor can be read via the ECU, so any gauge or datalogger that can talk OBD2 should do it. On Android or iOS you can try Torque or Dash Command along with an OBD2 dongle.

PUll out your OBD2 adapter if you leave it parked for awhile though, that's not switched power and it will drain your battery in a couple weeks' time.

I believe the P3Cars digital vent gauge can monitor it as well as other parameters; it plugs into the car's OBD port.

you would more than like have to run a sandwhich adapter to get a reading as i am currently using torque pro and it does not have a eot sensor widget i would suggest looking into a mount and a custom gauge to your liking.

my scanguage ii has a oil temp sensor readout. you need to either update your PID's, or get different software.
