Nah, not at all. Joke flopped. Won't be my last.

Wish I had more to offer regarding tuning but I'm just getting my own feet wet.

I'm going to take it in to a shop tomorrow for a look see/fix.

Here is what it's doing:

* at low speeds, going straight, the steering wheel "wobbles".

* at medium speeds, going down a hill, the brakes pulsate when lightly applied.

* when turning at low speeds (not a sharp turn), the power steering pump "howls".

Now, I have some ideas, but I don't want to lead the witness.

What do you think should be checked and/or is wrong with it .....??

OK, back to FR-Ss. You will find that there are several folks here on the forum that are quite knowledgeable about the workings of the FA20 engine ..... and they are usually quite helpful when asked.

So, what did I screw up on mrs humfrz's Saturn.

NO, @Tcoat or @Ultramaroon ..... I don't think slamming it into a parking garage pillar ...... going backwards ...... messed up the front end ......

Never touched a Saturn but it is a car a basic inspection would probably find all your problems in 45 minutes but if I had to guess with out at least a walk around I would say, sounds like tires may be shot I would start there also brake rotors probably need to be turned/replaced and I would start with a power steering flush then look at bearings and tie rod ends maybe evan bushings.

He still needs to stop backing into posts at 100 or so mph. My lawyer is still working on my whiplash claim.

Well, Tcoat, that incidence was mostly your fault ....... as co-pilot, your job was to scream before I'm about to hit something ....... like mrs humfrz does ...... so there!

You just sat there, like a bump on a log, you didn't even flail your arms or stomp on the imaginary brake pedal ......

How now. Just because you couldn’t figure out where you are gonna be when you came to my neck of the woods doesn’t mean I don’t like you.

Hey ....... just hold up here ....... this section is for "new members who have a question"!

NOW, new members who come here will think ol humfrz can't drive a car worth a damn and has to take it into a shop for everything little thing that goes wrong with it.

Oh, yes, @Joeyb860 , the guys at the shop are going to fix up ma-ma's Saturn by putting on new tires, new brake pads and rotors and do an alignment.

(and oh, yes, top off the power steering fluid, which was quite low)

I'll let you know tomorrow if that fixes it .....

.....and @Tcoat or @Ultramaroon , before you start in on "well, what was the root cause of why the fluid was low" ...... I got a 5 gallon can of it, so I can keep it filled. So there!

AND to "top it off" ...... mrs humfrz ask what the shop had to say, by asking a question "WHAT did YOU do to MY car ..... THIS TIME?!"

Hey, I'm not the one who got the delinquent notice ...... with those big bucks you moderators make, you would think you could afford to pay your bills .....

Or, do I have to come over to the regional forum and tend to you ......??
