That was me. @DanoFA20 was there today and I think the other WRB BRZ who showed up is on the forum.

The autocross part is fun, but you will also meet friends with similar interests that will last a lifetime. I've been doing it for 35 years on and off. You may need to take a break at somepoint but you'll always come back.

The Ms. (she drives a Fit) and I did SCCA Starting Line school in ATL this weekend. We are both on-board. Such a great time!

That's alright, I didn't even know there was a "new posts" section, so both of us are learning from this.

Welcome to the club. It's a slippery slope...a very slippery one. Sometimes I think it might just be easier and more fun to just set my cash on fire.

After you autocross for a while, wait until you hit a road course for the first time....weeee-hawww! Autocrossing is great for low speed and extreme handling skills and really prepares you for track time, but man are HPDE events are a much better bang for the buck and rush than autocrossing. ~4 minutes of parking lot fun for $30 bucks ($7.50 a minute) and working half the event verses 90+ minutes of road course fun and food (and no working) for ~$250-$300 bucks ($3.33 a minute). It will take more of a toll on the car though...

Autocrossing is still great to come back to when your car control skills are getting rusty and it's been a while though. Can't praise enough attending local and Evolution Performance driving schools if possible...as you get the best seat time ratio available for autocrossing along with great instructor/student ratios and valuable training that you can't get at regular autocross events.
