There are hundreds, if not thousands of cars out there, running aftermarket forced induction in the form provided by the manufacturer, that has no other issues.

Does front pipe really matter with factory tune? I am asking since I have been thinking about the dual resonated HKS front pipe.

I wouldn't say *no* sound at idle. Maybe my ears are more sensitive, but I can hear mine at idle. There's a mechanical whine from the unit spinning. It's not loud, but it's not silent.

Everything becomes a little more louder and hotter. It also depends on your setup /headers - exhaust /. Can not tell for sure if only the rotrex unit is louder. I would rather say the whole system is louder. Not obnoxiously louder, but you will definetely feel the difference. Even at idle.

Got it, thanks. I think it sounds kinda cool in any case. Do you hear it under normal DD conditions? It seems super loud at higher RPMs, but I can't tell if it's very audible around town.

Every time you pull, you (and others) will hear it ... like a jet taking off If you match it with a nice catback, it sounds like an awesome duet of a bass and a tenor.

It's definitely not silent, but quiet enough, hood closed, in a non enclosed space (e.g. street driving), that the average person and even the average enthusiast would not notice.

I guess I'm just above average.

Trained ears would hear it for sure ( stock and carb, being very quiet it can be more audible ) It also makes unmistakable noise when pushed.

So the supercharger kits coming with washer fluid reservoirs is new right? Because I recently sold my kit as I got a new car and the guy said the kit was missing the reservoir? As far as I remember I never got one when I purchased the kit a few years back.

There was no washer fluid reservoir included in the kit I installed which was a new kit direct from JR.

From my impression in regards to rotrex noise, not much, at idle, and even during hi rev hard acceleration I dont get much of a whine, but more of an airflow noise. Like you can just hear large quantities of air being sucked in through the filter. I like the whine and wish it was really audible but it's not really. Ymmv

Thanks! I think this should be true for 2017+ kits when bumper designs changed.
