Nothing like a good mystery.

What is the word on the other label? The date says 20 Nov 2012 but I can't make out the word from your picture.

Also, could you put up a picture of the other side of the circuit board?

Just a note, that looks like a battery so this would be something that likes backup power. Body computer? Unless it's something that came with the sprinted.

That looks like the back of the board, I there are a bunch of parts on the other side. Still, looks like the flex fuel parts use a grommet and wire loom, so probably not this list. Might be worth checking the flex fuel stuff is in the car but...

I googled Conlog, and a South African electronics firm came up first.

Surprised the OP didn't find it in his search.

Now, if the OP will pay my way to South Africa I will bring him a Coffee Crisp bar.

Hey Gareth,

Very odd thing you've had happen there, but it doesn't look to be our box! Our circuit board is much more heavily populated, and the case itself is a different shape with our "D" logo on the top. Hope this helps.

-Zach

So it's not a DT item...

BTW - they've always given me incredible service, just saying
Well, damn. It looked to be exactly the same size. True though, their logo is molded into the box. Missed that part. :/

@jvincent - the words that I can read are:
CONLOG 418HW4.3.1 SW-2.17

Vbu 418 V 5.0
650007401113
20 nov 2012
A
Indium

On the other side (pic attached)

@humfrz - no SO, so unless I have a stalker, it shouldn't be the case... Though with such a sexy car, I wouldn't be suprised

@ryoma - check, phone destroyed, internet cable cut, wifi off, cut the electrical cable. Currently living in the woods.

@cjd - flex fuel is still working 100%, and DT said that it doesn't look like theirs

@justatroll - of everyone here, you are the last person that I expected to give me the correct answer, I assumed your links were trolling... However, you are 100% right. I tried googling and I didn't find that, dunno how you did... I took it to the Toyota service manager and he confirmed that it is an antenna (if you look at one of the "wires", you'll see it's transparent - that is apparently the antenna).

Yes, bought the car used, didn't know it had a tracker

@humfrz - must've been the previous owner. It's not strange in South Africa to have a tracking system for WHEN (not if) your car gets stolen (OK, I'm exaggerating a bit, but you know what I mean....)

@wbradley - yes, an electronics firm came up first. Called "Conlog: Smart meters | Prepaid electricity meters" - we have prepaid electricity in South Africa so I couldn't tie the two together.

Second link is "Conlog - Schneider Electric
Conlog was acquired by Schneider Electric in 2000. The company is a world leader in prepayment revenue management solutions, encompassing prepayment ..."

So honestly, I couldn't see past the pre-paid electricity thing. And I tried googling the model number too. Trust me, asking on the forum and posting pics is a lot more effort than a simple google search, so I wouldn't have posted if I wasn't stuck

@Ultramaroon - no worries, it does look pretty similar though!

Thanks everyone for the help!

Could it be the wireless receiver for the TPMS? If it was behind the wheel well.
