Just to screw with you a little. I don't think numbers always dictate/justify the effort in validating a product for market.

They only sold 3950 S14's in Australia.

Nah, it’s more that Europe and Japan has crazy high taxes on engine displacement over 2.0L so this opens up a bigger share of buyers. But I think they wanted to make enough of them to justify the costs so they released it for North American markets as well.
