lol, seems like it's the most tried and true method.

tonight, a buddy needs to fix a snow blower and started telling me how he's going to get the carb rebuild kit and tear it all down...

i just asked him how worthwhile an $18 gasket kit is when a new carb without gunked up needles and passageways is $35...

That's the reason why we have at least 3 artificial trees stored in our basement.

Why? It all started many a moon ago, back in Missouri, when we first put our families together. My new bride and her daughter insisted on putting up an artificial tree. Me and my sons insisted of a real tree. So, we compromised, the "girls" put up their artificial tree in the family room and my boys and I put up our real tree in the living room.

I didn't see that one coming, before we put our families together -

Christmas trees are nice if you have kids and want to continue that tradition of them "finding presents under the tree" on Christmas morning.

But beyond that I don't really see any purpose in having one.

it used to power my trailer back in my duck hunting days.

I ruined the fuel pump years ago putting too much Stabil in the tank. It hasn't been running in about 15 years, so I thought a new carb would be a good idea Got both for $100. Way worth it. Runs like new now. These generators cost a pretty penny new.

It totally saved us once in SJ when a power pole came down in our backyard during a storm. We were out of power for 7 days. I could run a fridge or freezer, tv, and blower for the gas fireplace all at once, if you plugged them in in the right order.

Power went out here in Idaho a few days ago got me thinking I better get it running again.

I think this year is especially bad with the supply chain issues. Every time I turn on the news it's "You better get it now!"

Here in Idaho you can get a permit for $10 and just drive out to the forest and cut up to 2 trees.

Never done a tree before. May as well change things up this year instead of the same old.
