Anyone running AP racing sprint with winmax W2 for street?

Anyone running AP racing sprint with winmax W2 for street? Care to share your experience? I'm running carbotech 1521 and it's relatively quiet on street but I want something more aggressive without squealing.
Winmax w3 are squealing like crazy.

I'm happy with Ferodo DS2500 for street/autox, a touch of noise at some stops but totally reasonable (quieter than the tabs scraping telling you to replace your brakes). Dust is mildly worse than stock, much better than track pads.

Just want to clarity. You are using this on the ap racing sprint kit?

OEM brembo and non brembos are quiet. I’ve had w3 on them without noise issues. Ap racing kit doesn’t have any noise dampening so they squeal quiet a bit on w3 or similar “semi-metallic” pads.

Most pads will be noisy with the AP Sprint kit, unfortunately.

Have you tried shims + brake grease with the W3? That may help, as long as you don't get the W3 so hot that you burn off the grease.

I am daily driving W3's in stock calipers, and the key to keeping them silent is definitely the shims and grease. Even when the grease burns off, the shims still help, and I only get small noises in certain conditions.

Nope didn't realize it made much of a difference vs pad choice.

As a general rule, racing calipers will be noisy, whereas street calipers will not; there are always exceptions to this of course.

Some street calipers are also noisy, e.g. BMW F8x M3/M4 OEM calipers.

Did you bed the pads in properly? There's nothing inherent to our AP Sprint Kit makes it any more prone to squeal than any other brake kit. In the vast majority of cases, squeal goes away to a great extent after a good pad and disc bed-in.

Here's the bed-in video we did years ago...sorry for the crummy quality!

Here's a related one on swapping pads. It gives some good insight into the reasons behind squeal:

Installed the wilwood shims.

Prior to bedding, the brakes were quiet until u start using them. 1-2 times is enough to make them squeal like crazy.

I went to bed the brakes using the following procedure.
Using 60-80% of pedal pressure, decrease the car speed from 80 km/h (50 mph) to 20 km/h (12 mph). Repeat this process 7-9 times.
Do not drive the car to a complete stop as this will increase rapidly the temperature of the pad.
Repeat the procedure from 120 km/h (75 mph) to 80 km/h (50 mph), and from 120 km/h (75 mph) to 20 km/h (12 mph).

After bedding they SCREAM!!

The rotors looked like this after I cooled them down by driving on the freeway for 10 min

I'm not sure if this means the pads are overheating or I need to continue the bedding process.

Any ideas?

Which brake pad would you recommend for aggressive street/canyon driving that is relatively quiet and daily friendly?
