I did. And there is crazy, stupid amounts of play while in gear that definitely wasn't there stock. I've had $1000 beaters with 200k miles and way less shifter play than that. Stock was much better, imo

I'll take a video and post it up in a few. Maybe I did something wrong? Something definitely doesn't feel right

This should show how much slop my shifter had with the quickshift installed. Did I do something wrong? Don't have any other shift related mods at all.

I got mine in today, it took me about 35-40mins to install and I'm very impressed. I was doubting the effectiveness of the part but went ahead and ordered it based on reviews and overall cost. The throws are short enough that when I tested shifting before taking my car off of the jackstands, I thought it was binding and not going into gear but it was.. Still retains factory feel as well (I'm still using my Perrin rear shifter bushing). Best short throw I've ever used (compared to Mopar Short Throw Shifter with Booger shift linkage bushings on my old SRT4, and a TWM shifter in a Civic Si).

I had mine installed for a few days now and there is no play like that described and depicted in the video above. also, my knob position at neutral has changed after the installation and it is placed a little bit towards the right. I am loving the shifter so far.

Another thing to note, i am no expert so i tried to follow closely the instruction the shifter came with and applied loctite on every bolt that was part of the shifter kit...

Yah that's pretty bad. Did you install it yourself? I'm now hesitant to install this on my car if it had that much play.

That's definitely not normal. You sure you installed everything correctly?

I did install everything myself, and also followed the directions to a T. Did have an extra washer at the end, though. Anybody have any idea what might be causing all that play in the shifter? Just trying to think what it could be. I'll get it back on the lift and recheck everything later today, but I'm not really sure what I should be looking for besides retorquing bolts. Could the little adapter that lowers where the shifter connects be loose or would it be the rear shifter busing I should be looking at?

Edit: I'll try replacing the rear shift busing first, since its easier, see if that fixes it, then try replacing the adapter to see if that fixes it. I'll let you guys know when I figure it out so that anyone else with the same issue can fix it as well! Wonder if some of the kartboy users complaining of play have the same root cause as I do? Guess we'll find out!

Solved! The bolt that goes into the adapter piece was loose. Tightened it up and there's almost no slop now! Also, doesn't seem to rattle, but I just took it out for a few minutes. Much much better!
