Gawd! That yellow one has the front end of a Toyota Corolla/VW Golf/Dodge Dart mash-up. They even managed to make the wheels worse looking! That is impressive. If that comes to pass, then the used 2013-2016 models will become and even better bargain.

puke. looks like a Scion TC
Halo car yo.

Gotta give a family resemblance to the crappier Scions so the kids can settle for the cheaper cars when their parents find out the FR-S is a sports car.

All the more reason Toyota should kill the failed experiment that is Scion and re-badge the North American-market Toyota GT86 as a... Toyota GT86.

Dang - I've always liked the design of the stock wheels. They're shiny but don't ever get too dirty-looking.

They've also always reminded me of a modern take on those cool "Sport Classic" wheels of the earlier Porsches and the optional "Sport Classic II" wheels from the Porsche 993 of the early 90s.

And everyone loves 993s.

I highly doubt that Scion is the one in charge of styling it. This car is being sold as a Toyota everywhere else in the world.

Agreed, plus it has a Toyota badge and you can see the family influence from the Camry and Corolla. I just hope this is not what the 2017 will look like.

Looks like the trunk might be bigger?

Quick, somebody get Tada-san on the phone! Let the fans decide how it should look (and have the aerodynamicists fine tune it)! Built by passion, not committee, right?

Hahaha, I see what you did there. Let me get my phone and call him... He didn't answer. Looks like, it's too early in the morning.

It's so weird how many people hating the new look when over the past two years we've been bombarded with "THE 86 ISN'T SELLING WELL THEREFORE IT'S BEING CANCELLED!" threads.

Frankly I'm just happy we're getting a "Kouki" version.

it'll still be the car we love just with a different face

to harm no foul.

Also I would like to point out that cammo is designed to make the cars look bland and hide their features.

say what you will about the front, but can any of us actually tell what's going on in the back?

so...wait until the camo comes off?

This is so true. Not sure you remember VLN race with cammo on

Everyone was going crazy trying to figure out the chassis design. Arguing bout small things

Scion isn't in charge of styling anything. They are not even a car company. They are just a marketing creation. But those same lesser Scions available in the US are still sold elsewhere as Toyotas.

No shit. That's literally what my post said.

I can't imagine there is a single user on this site not aware of that.

We have over 100k members... that's too early to state that. I've seen SEVERAL dozen member didn't know why it's called "FT-86"

& funniest one I've seen was "Why BRZ look like FR-S?" That comment made my day.

I am 100% sure my grandmother had that exact same pattern on her couch in the 60s. It did hide it's shape well.
